This 6 minute warm up taken from the BarreConcept Supreme Conditioning DVD is suitable for intermediate students. This progressive warm up incorporates movements such as squats, hamstring curls and lunges alongside traditional ballet movements such as tendus, plies and battements. This is essential at the start of any barre class in order to mobilise the major joints of the body and increase body temperature and heart rate.
This 7 minute warm up is suitable for intermediate students. It is taken from the BarreConcept Bootcamp Burn DVD. The warm up should be used as the starting clip for all of your barre workouts followed by the videos of the areas you wish to concentrate on. This progressive warm up incorporates movements such as squats, knee lifts and lunges alongside traditional ballet movements such as tendus, battements and plies. This is essential at the start of any barre class in order to mobilise the major joints of the body and increase body temperature and heart rate.
BarreConcept Warm Up Routine. This warm up is just under 6 minutes long. A warm up should mobilise all of the major joints, gradually increase heart rate and body temperature and make use of the main muscle groups. In addition, movements that are to be used later on in the barre section should be introduced during the warm up. Movements include plies, chasses, tendus, battements and lunges.
